Some really great stuff....note many of these things are already in the game.  The new aircraft and map parts are the best parts.

Flew briefly on WoL last night (and it didn't CRASH!  woowho!).  A few thoughts on the new patch:

1.) May just be me, but the game seemed less hazy.  Probably me.  I seemed to be able to see better.  Still died, but I expected that since the sides were 22 to 8 in the LW's favor and I was in an LA.

2.) I really like the new gun sounds.  The LA5's guns sound nasty!  Too bad they are still inaccurate as all hell.  Got a kill, but had to shove the damn cannon muzzle in the back of the 190 I was targeting to hit it. 

3.) I like how I can now use the skins for the bonus planes that I paid money for without having to waste my time on their god awful campaign.  Hopefully they will release the skins for the other planes soon.  Looks like that is the plan based on the Release Notes.

The 109 I initially engage was piloted by Finderbird.  A second 109 joins the fight later.  I killed him with that HO shot but allowed Finder to put some rounds into me.  Still managed to get away as Finderbird ran out of ammo.

Looks like North Africa will be the new theater with many new fighters including the Dewoitine D520 and Spitfire V.  Now if I could only talk a few more of you into flying CLoD every now and then.... 

Ok....back to watching 20 and 30-somethings in very small bikinis while feeling like a perv.

Interesting.  Looks like they clarified elsewhere using SweetFX / Reshade to improve visibility is not a "mod".....which is good because it is the only damn way I can hope to see contacts.  That said, I wonder if this will really have any impact on the cheaters....guess time will tell.

I've attached my conf.ini (with vis settings), Keith 109.ini (controller settings), and User.ini (has my ammo belt settings if interested...use only for 109s).  I also have included two screenshots of the custom NVidia profile I setup for CLoD (associate with Launcher.exe in the CLoD directory).

Open to any outside pilots and/or squads but limited slots.  I've flown these event campaigns before and they are a hoot.  Only downside is they are a longer term commitment, but I've found you can drop out of some weeks events if need be. 

As it stands Saturday nights will be my weekly CLoD night for a while.  I'll reserve Friday nights for BoS and RoF if no one is on BoS.

Pand:  Still some open RAF slots.  Spit and hurricane gun sights are not offset to the right.     

I know this is largely user preference, but I'd welcome any recommendations on axis curves / settings  I've been playing around with mine but I still get more nose bounce in the 109s than I'd like.

I was catching up on my YouTube subscriptions and laughed out loud when I saw that.   

Not sure what to think about Mr.X.  I've seen people call him a cheater, but I'm not so sure.  His deflection shooting is damn good, but he's just doing what I see all the really good shots do.  Notice how as he is closing he puts his nose slightly lower than the flight path of his target then pulls through to take the shot.  That's pretty much what all the really good shots do.  JG4_Karaya and Gr00ve, arguably two of the best CLoD pilots, use this technique to setup high deflection shots as well.  It could be he's using some technical technique to cheat like a lag switch I suppose, but to me it just looks like good shot setup and timing. 

What do you guys think?
